In the spring of 2020, I was accepted to present my paper “Gendered as (Un)Usual” at two conferences: the Southeastern Women’s Studies Association and Bodies of Knowledge 2020: Reenvisioning Transgender. Unfortunately, both of these events were postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but my paper abstract can be found below. I look forward to presenting this work on broken windows policing, trans and gender-nonconforming safety, and police gendering as violence in the spring of 2021.
